Founded in 1945 in Bengaluru, India, the Indian Institute of World Culture brings together the arts, philosophy and ideas from India and around the world. Our lectures, concerts, dance performances, exhibitions and library are open to anyone curious about the world’s cultures.
Facilities for Events
Wadia Hall hosts book releases, Musical concerts and also public lectures which are regularly organized on relevant and contemporary topics. These are blended with programs of music and dance to enrich the cultural life. On an average, 150 programs are organized yearly, with not less than two programs each week.

The Institute, right from its inception has been organising painting exhibitions by leading artists to inculcate aesthetic sense in the general public. In 1984 a further step was taken to start an art section to give an impetus to the inherent talent of children and adult alike.Led by Sri Sunkad who was our art teacher for over 25 years, the institute became a place to enjoy for all budding artists.
